Fr. Raad is a Basilian Father of the Most Holy Saviour of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite. For thirty years Fr. Raad has traveled between Italy and Lebanon. He is the parish priest of Monacilioni, in Molise, Italy, as well as the Director of the Saint Saviour College and Vice President of the National Council of Social Service in Lebanon.
He founded Annas Linnas, meaning “for each other”, a non-governmental organization in Kfarnabrakh, Lebanon in 2009, to promote social cohesion, peace building and conflict resolution among the local population and refugees from neighboring countries. Annas Linnas supports refugee families and all other vulnerable groups, with an emphasis on children fleeing violence. The organization supports a variety of educational and cultural initiatives to strengthen interreligious and intercultural dialogue. Fr. Abdo Raad is the GNRC Coordinator in Lebanon.
