My name is Frida. I am 17 years old, in the 12th grade, and from Panama. After finishing school, my next step will be to study environmental engineering, as it connects to many of my dreams.

One of my favorite things is public speaking. I joined the debate club at my school and have been the president of this club since 2022. I love the debates in the Model United Nations format on issues related to Latin America, children, and children’s rights. I find a lot of happiness and devotion in communicating my ideas to others, and I believe that it is one of my qualities. I also love listening to others because I gain insight into different perspectives on life.

I have been involved in my community since I was a kid. I teach and support others to improve skills like writing and photography. I also raise awareness among other children about their rights and human rights and advocate for laws protecting children.

I sometimes think that children understand other children better than adults, so I am happy to be part of the Children’s Advisory Group and participate with others on this special occasion. I feel I am in a safe space to discuss such important themes with children who are advocates and defenders of children’s rights. When I think about the Forum, I am more interested in hearing all the important things other children have to say, helping, and being part of all activities.
