I am Shariaz, a 14-year-old student in Grade 8 from Mauritius. Physics is my favorite subject in school, and after school, my friends and I play football together. I like to play football because it keeps you healthy and helps me develop teamwork with my friends and other people. I really enjoy my English, Math, and French classes because the teacher is really nice.
I am a volunteer for the M-Kids association, which aids the vulnerable. I have been with M-Kids since I was 9 years old, but at that time, I was a beneficiary, as the other kids are now. Helping people who are vulnerable and poor, like me, is something I like to do. I like getting to know new friends through workshops, playing with them, talking to them, and also going on outings.
My main interest in the Children’s Advisory Group is communicating with people from all over the world. I am very interested in participating in the Sixth Forum because I will be in Abu Dhabi for the first time and advocating for children’s rights. My family and community will be proud of me for this, and it will be a pleasure for me to stand up for them.
