Mr. Khatir serves as the Vice President of the Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities (IAFSC). With an expansive career in public service, he currently holds the position of Regional Police Attache, Asia and The Pacific, for the UAE’s Ministry of Interior. Mr. Khatir also oversees the activities of the Secure Communities Forum, a collaborative platform that brings together professionals from a wide range of disciplines to network and collaborate on community safety.
Previously, he worked as Director of the International Operations Department in the UAE’s Ministry of Interior where he was responsible for overseeing the Ministry’s engagement with international law enforcement entities and international organisations.
Mr. Khatir’s unique experience working with the intersection of government and law enforcement has enabled him to navigate the intricacies of policymaking and advocacy and equipped him with an understanding of the challenges facing children and the importance of community engagement.
In his role as Vice-President of the IAFSC, Mr. Khatir seeks to work collaboratively faith-based organizations, community leaders, and government agencies to create a safer and more nurturing environment for every child.
