Ms. Rios-Kohn serves as Executive Director of the Arigatou International Initiative Prayer and Action for Children based in New York. Prior to her work with Arigatou International, Ms. Rios worked with UNICEF and other United Nations agencies. She has over 30 years of experience advocating for children’s rights and promoting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. She was one of the lead writers of the Faith and Children’s Rights: A Multi-Religious Study on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, developed by Arigatou International with UNICEF and other partners, published in 2019. She received a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, Virginia, and before joining the UN, she practiced law in the states of Virginia and New York.
