My name is Jaskiran. I am a 15-year-old student from Kenya, currently in Grade 10. I am a passionate advocate for children’s rights and a proud member of the Children’s Advisory Group convened by Arigatou International. At school, I actively participate in the Middle School Model United Nations (MSMUN) and have been awarded the title of Best Delegate.
My favorite subject is Biology. I am keenly interested in the biological functioning of the human body and life sciences. As a result, I have been active in community service, volunteering in medical camps, distributing food aid, and participating in environmental-uplifting activities.
At the community level, I am a member of the Secretariat of the Sikh Council of Africa. Privileged to engage collectively with others in various forums, I had the opportunity to speak on Sikhism, its values, and its integration with modern-day age and lifestyle at the University of Nairobi.
As a member of the Children’s Advisory Group, I am committed to positively impacting the lives of children in our community, with a keen interest in social justice and education. I aim to participate in the GNRC Sixth Forum with a vision to inspire other children to get involved in their communities and speak up for their rights. Engaging with the children, I would love to discuss insightful perspectives and innovative ideas on pressing issues. With aspirations to become a healthcare practitioner and give back to society as a social worker in the future, I’m determined to continue working towards a more inclusive and supportive environment for all children.
