My name is Sanchit, a 14-year-old from Colombo, Sri Lanka. Chemistry is my favorite subject in school, and I enjoy playing sports, especially tennis. Following in my grandfather’s footsteps, I have adopted his “Shramadana” concept—sharing labor and energy for the well-being of those in need. I was six years old when I started engaging in relief work. I have helped people during natural disasters, assisted in setting up village libraries, and taught English to children. I particularly enjoy volunteering at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) model classrooms. I like learning about SDGs, and I want to adopt these guidelines for the betterment of our community. Thus, my goal is to introduce the idea of Shramadana to the Forum and assist in creating solutions to the issues that children encounter.
